The new Shepard Community sign that was planted on Nelson Road proudly welcomes anyone driving north on Nelson to our neighborhood. The sign, designed by DonCee Coulter, the original Aminah Robinson fellowship recipient in 2020, captures the history, values and flavor of our neighborhood. “Education, community, support, family, unity, faith, and peace”—these words are emblazoned on the sign, flowing like music notes out of a soulful saxophone. – Shepard News Letter
